Who we are

This website is operated by MyAvocadoTree, a farm-to-home avocado tree rental service working with partner farms in India. Our farm coordination office is in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India.

What we collect

When you enquire or book: your name, email address, phone number and delivery address, plus any preferences you share about variety, plan or where the tree will stand.

When you contact us: whatever you choose to put in your message, and the email address or phone number you send it from, so we can reply.

When you browse: aggregate, non-identifying information about which pages are read and which tools are used. We do not ask you to create an account, and we do not require any personal information to read a guide, use a calculator or view a recipe.

The forms on this site open a pre-filled draft in your own email program. That means your enquiry reaches us as an ordinary email that you send yourself — we do not store form submissions on this website.

How we use it

To confirm availability with the partner farm, arrange delivery, provide care support, and contact you about your rental.

To answer questions you send us, and to keep records we are required to keep for tax or contractual reasons.

To understand in aggregate which of our guides and tools are useful, so we can improve the weak ones. This does not involve building a profile of you.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for anyone else's marketing.

Who we share it with

Partner farms and delivery partners receive only what they need to prepare and deliver your tree — typically your name, delivery address and phone number.

Service providers that host this website and deliver our email operate on our behalf and under our instructions.

We may disclose information where the law requires it, or to establish or defend a legal claim.

Cookies and similar storage

We store your cookie choice in your browser so the consent notice does not reappear on every page. Some tools remember figures you entered while you use them; that stays in your browser and is never sent to us.

Our cookie policy lists what is used, category by category, and how to change or clear it. You can reopen the choice at any time using the 'Cookie settings' link in the footer of every page.

Advertising

This site is set up to display advertising supplied by Google AdSense. Google is a third-party vendor and, as such, uses cookies to serve advertisements on this site.

Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve advertisements to you based on your visit to this site and other sites on the internet. Depending on your region and your settings, advertising may be personalised or non-personalised.

Advertising is kept clearly separate from our editorial content. Advertisers do not influence what our guides say, and an advertisement appearing on a page is not an endorsement by us.

Google Fonts, which serves the two typefaces this site uses; fonts are requested from Google's servers when a page loads.

These providers operate under their own privacy policies, which we do not control. We do not embed social-network tracking pixels or retargeting scripts on this site. If that changes, this page will change with it.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not lead to a booking are kept only as long as the conversation is useful, and then deleted.

Rental records are kept for the length of the rental and for as long afterwards as tax and contract law requires, then deleted.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to hello@myavocadotree.com and we will respond as quickly as we reasonably can. Some records may be retained where the law requires it.

You can ask us to stop contacting you about rentals at any time, and you can control cookies and advertising as described above and in your browser settings.

Children

This site is intended for adults arranging a tree rental for a household or a business. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we start using a new service that handles your information, or change how advertising works on this site, we will update this page so it stays accurate. We do not publish policy language for technologies we are not actually using.
